- Lebanon’s Health Ministry said Israeli strikes on the country’s south and east killed at least 33 people, including six rescue workers.
- Multiple Israeli attacks on Gaza kill at least 40 Palestinians from north to south since dawn, including a helicopter air strike on a hospital shelter for war displaced.
- Qatar says reports of its withdrawal from mediation efforts not true but suspended until all sides show “willingness and seriousness” to end the war.
- The independent Famine Review Committee of global food security experts warns action must be taken “within days” to avert famine in northern Gaza and “alleviate this catastrophic situation” during a month-long Israeli military siege.
- Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 43,552 Palestinians and injured 102,765 since October 7, 2023. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day and more than 200 taken captive.
