- The Israeli army says “dozens” of Hezbollah targets have been hit in Lebanon after Israel threatened a harsh response to the Lebanese group.
- Hours earlier, Hezbollah said it had fired “defensive” warning shots at the Israeli army in response to ceasefire “violations” that killed and wounded civilians.
- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says Gaza now has the highest number of child amputees in the world per capita, with “many losing limbs and undergoing surgeries without even anaesthesia”.
- Israeli forces continue to bombard Gaza, attacking Jabalia in the north and Abasan al-Kabira in the south, as rival Palestinian groups Fatah and Hamas meet in Cairo to discuss a proposal to reopen the Rafah border crossing.
- Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 44,466 Palestinians and wounded 105,358 since October 7, 2023. At least 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day, and more than 200 were taken captive.
- In Lebanon, at least 3,961 people have been killed and 16,520 wounded in Israeli attacks since the war on Gaza began.
