- Anxious Middle East braces for the possible Iranian response to the killing of Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, as several airlines cancel flights to Iran, Israel and Lebanon.
- The United Nations says nearly two-thirds of the buildings in the Gaza Strip – more than 151,000 structures – have been damaged or destroyed in Israeli attacks.
